There's an arena where drivers meet to battle for sport. You can pick up courier jobs in towns and get paid for safely delivering the goods elsewhere. When you destroy an opponent's vehicle you can sometimes salvage stuff. In the towns you're safe to wander from shop to shop, on the roads it's kill (or run) or be killed. Both games feature a network of cities/towns linked by roads. Both games have role-playing (RPG) game elements where your character and vehicle have statistics that change (improve) as the game goes on. In both games you're a guy who gets in an armed and armoured car and fights against other similar vehicles. It really is a modern remake of Origin's classic Autoduel game, a real favourite of mine - I doubt they could have made this game without being aware of the original. There is a lot of games out there that need a reboot.I played Car Battler Joe a second time through, and totally enjoyed it again. Sacrifice 'No other RTS made like this ever' Noire 'Second best game Rockstar ever made, and it looked into the future and dared.'

The Operative: No One Lives Forever Series Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Series Red Dead Redemption 'Best game Rockstar ever made.' Sidenote - The only game I'd recommend to everyone who plays games. 'Games that have no sequels or haven't had a sequel for quite some time'

I'm talking a game just like the old ones, with hd graphics and some modern updates. Which games would you like to see a remake of? Not a bastardised homage to the old games with all new gameplay mechanics. I know many didn't care for it due to its differences from Secret, but that series needs more love. Ducktales Remastered was a damn good example. I'm just coming up with these off the top of my head, but there are plenty of games with decent histories that have a fanbase already built up, that wouldn't be hard to remake. The dudes that did the new Shadow Warrior could do it. How about a Crystalis sequel? Another Contra similar to Shattered Soldier for PS2? I really miss Blood for the pc. If Square could work with Nintendo and make another Super Mario RPG that would be great but that is highly unlikely. It was a little clunky but featured some of the best death scenes in a fighting game at the time. Not that shit Ghoul Patrol.Įternal Champions: The version for the Saturn was the best for this forgotten gem.

The original only had two players, but I think 4 would do just fine. They did a new Gauntlet recently which is similar in some ways. It's probably one of my favorite SNES games aside from Super Mario RPG and Earthbound. Zombies Ate My Neighbors: This type of game is perfect for 4 player co-op. A decent remake in the vein of Double Dragon Neon would be excellent. Probably because it was a Sega only thing. Streets of Rage: This series never got as much love as Double Dragon and Final Fight. I would like to see old school remakes or sequels for some of these classics. More downloadable titles like that would be good for bringing back those classic series that stayed in the 8 and 16 bit era. Double Dragon Neon was a decent throwback to a long dead series, but we don't get too many of those. Especially with the indie scene picking up. I have often wondered why we have never gotten a Battletoads sequel for one. Everyone has one of those favorite series that has been forgotten by time, or even abused in various ways until it is unrecognizable.
